Administrative Export Assistant ProTrade Steel – Charlottesville, VA

ProTrade Steel Company Ltd. is looking for an Administrative Export Assistant in its Charlottesville, Virginia office. This position is to handle administrative tasks pertaining to our export trading business. ProTrade Steel, a subsidiary of The ProTrade Group LLC, is an international scrap metal recycling trading company.

What are the Role and Responsibilities?

During the first 6 to 9 months, you will be learning our business and accounting/administrative processes, as well as training on our ERP systems. The role will include:

  • Assisting with order entry
  • Processing external documents required for shipments
  • Processing of shipments
  • Invoicing
  • Tracking of bookings
  • Provide support to ensure efficient export operations in response to customer requests in a proactive manner
  • Collecting and formatting details relating to product deficiency claims
  • Providing reports as needed

Maintenance Team Member Toledo Shredding – Toledo, OH

Toledo Shredding LLC is looking for a Maintenance Team Member at its facility in Toledo, Ohio. This position handles maintenance of the shredder, downstream system, and other equipment within the plant. Toledo Shredding, a subsidiary of The ProTrade Group LLC, is a full-service scrap metal recycler that includes the processing, transportation, and trading of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

What are the Role and Responsibilities?

Provide orderly maintenance and repairs of shredding equipment and downstream; report and communicate all repairs and maintenance to the Shredder Operations Manager as well as the following:

  • Ensure all efforts are compliant with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Team members assist on daily shredder maintenance and repairs
  • Focus on day-to-day maintenance to meet production schedules and to ensure cost effective operations
  • Assist on preventative maintenance to improve efficiency
  • Work with other team members to maintain orderly workspace and parts/tools management
  • Evaluate and recommend replacement of equipment when necessary

Who are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 5 years of Mill Wright experience and possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Knowledge of heavy machines and tools including designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Welding experience preferred
  • Auto Shredder experience preferred

Mobile Equipment Technician Toledo Shredding – Toledo, OH

The Mobile Equipment Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairing, monitoring, and maintaining all Plant Mobile Equipment in the safest, most cost-effective way possible to avoid equipment downtime. This role will be responsible for a fleet of various pieces of equipment used in multiple areas throughout the site. This role will be required to effectively interact with management, operators, and contractors in the performance of this role.

What are the Role and Responsibilities?

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, maintain equipment, and surrounding area in good condition.
  • Operate mobile equipment including, but not limited to cranes, frontend loaders, skid steers, forklifts, yard trucks, and various pieces of mobile equipment
  • Identify equipment operating irregularities, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment systems including, but not limited to hydraulic systems, motors, transmissions, track drives, differentials, electrical systems, and tire repairs.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
  • Familiarity of electrical systems and troubleshooting basics.
  • Ability to be flexible with a changing priority in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of reading and comprehending equipment manuals and procedures.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Ability to lift, walk, stand, carry, push up to 50lbs.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Be capable of relaying details of equipment defects to Contractor Mobile Mechanics.
  • Availability as needed to work on a call-out basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who are We Looking For?

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2-year vocational/technical degree preferred.

Experience

  • 3 plus years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment and hydraulic systems.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
